They were one of the first things I learned to make as a kid. Slowly and carefully roasting them in a rotisserie art sort of way over the hot coals of campfire during the summer. Then in the winter over the coiled burner of an electric stovetop, and at times I may have even settled for a melted marshmallow quick zapped in the microwave to make them.<\/p>\n<p>One method many of us have been missing out on is this simple broiled option on a baking sheet. And might I add toasting the marshmallow on <em>two<\/em> sides of course not just one as other guides have shown.<\/p>\n<p>There are many things to love about this simple oven method of making s&#8217;mores. You&#8217;ll get the same golden brown toasted goodness without being campfire cooked, you still get that ooey gooey fluffy melty marshmallow sweetness along with its pairing of rich luxurious chocolate, and crisp honey kissed graham crackers to hold it all together.<\/p>\n<p>And bonus, you can make many at once versus making one or two on a roasting stick! I&#8217;ve listed out 6 servings but make up to 12 at time if you&#8217;d like.<\/p>\n<p>These are perfect for when the cravings strike without all the hassle of packing up and venturing into the outdoors to build a campfire. Remove as soon as golden brown.<\/p>\n<h2>How Long to Bake S&#8217;mores in the Oven<\/h2>\n<p>It only takes about 30 seconds to 2 minutes to broil marshmallows on the center rack of an oven to melt and toast them. If you want melty runny chocolate add chocolate pieces over the 6 graham crackers, if you want more solid chocolate then add it at the end as noted.<\/p>\n<p>Turn marshmallows to opposite side (golden toasted side now facing down) and set marshmallow on top of the 6 graham crackers (or over chocolate also if you wanted melted option). Return to oven and let toast until marshmallows are just golden brown. Remove from oven.<\/p>\n<p>Add chocolate (if not added already) over the top of the toasted marshmallows. A go-to favorite for these is Lindt chocolate. The intense orange is a dream paired with a s&#8217;more!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Broiling tip:<\/strong> Don&#8217;t walk away while broiling. The marshmallows can toast in a flash and can go from caramelized brown to a blackened char that&#8217;s bitter and ashy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marshmallows tip:<\/strong> When picking out a bag of marshmallows look for one that has excess air and the marshmallows aren&#8217;t flattened and stuck together in a sticky mess. When picking out the marshmallows from the package to toast look for those even in size so they brown evenly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Non-stick spray:<\/strong> Use non-stick spray instead of parchment paper as it can catch fire when broiling. The spray will also work better than aluminum foil to prevent the marshmallows from sticking since they&#8217;ll be toasted solo on one side first.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melting the chocolate:<\/strong> If you want melted chocolate you can do one of two things, add it over the first graham cracker (underneath the marshmallow) when you toast the marshmallow the second time.
